A document archived in ARXivar cannot be modified, as ARXivar ensures document integrity. But you can register new versions of the document, keeping the history of the versions always available.

Managing documents integrity

A document archived in ARXivar cannot be modified, as ARXivar ensures document integrity. Consider, for example, a document that reached in its life cycle the APPROVED status. This document must be "frozen" to prevent changes by unauthorized users. You can record new versions of the document, keeping the history of versions always available. The versions management is related to the concept of document status.

Register new versions

By registering new versions of the document, ARXivar assigns them a unique serial number. The latest version becomes the main document while prevoius versions are stored in an historical archive, and can always be retrieved. According to the authorizations assigned to the user / group, ARXivar lets you interactively edit the document and save it as a new version.
